La cancion es de Pearl Jam, del disco Yield que salio al mercado  en 1998 y el video fue dirigido por Todd Mcfarlane, reconocido animador y dibujante. Pertenece a un estilo del rock conocido como grunge, el cual llego a convertirse en todo un movimiento social en el Seattle de principios de los 90. Abanderado por grupos como Nirvana, Soundgarden o Alice in Chains; el grunge  influyo sobre toda una  generacion de jovenes durante los 90, sobre todo en EEUU y aun actualmente sigue siendo  junto al Punk uno de los estilos del rock que se considera todavia vivo. La tematica del grunge es variada pero suele abordar  casi todo desde un punto de vista critico hacia la realidad social moderna, en ocasiones bastante pesimista pero hay que reconocer que una gran parte de las grandes canciones de rock de las ultimas decadas pertenecen a  este estilo.
